A redesigned career fair experience, built for hiring.
Hire Career-Ready JCPS Graduates
Nearly 7,000 students will graduate from Jefferson County Public Schools this May, including many completing career pathways and industry certifications aligned with local workforce needs.
Many of these graduates are preparing to enter the workforce directly, and local employers are invited to connect with them at a series of direct-hiring events hosted between March and May.
Instead of traditional career fairs focused primarily on exploration, these events are designed to help employers meet career-ready graduates and begin hiring conversations for entry-level roles starting after graduation.
Direct Hiring Opportunities
Connect with candidates interested in full-time, entry level roles after graduation.
Prepared Candidates

Employer Resources
-
Participating employers will receive:
A reserved table for conversation-style interactions - Meet with candidates in short, focused conversations about career opportunities.
Prepared candidates - Graduates will bring resumes and will have reviewed your available roles in advance.
A hiring menu for your table - From the positions you share with us, we will create a menu displaying your open roles, starting wages, and key responsibilities so candidates can quickly identify opportunities aligned with their interests and training.
A simple system to identify candidates for next steps - Employers can easily mark candidates they would like to follow up with after the event.
-
To make the most of your time at the event, we recommend:
Bring two team members: Having two representatives allows one person to talk with students while another reviews resumes or discusses next steps.
Share your open roles in advance: We ask participating employers to submit a short list of roles they are actively hiring for so students can prepare.
Focus on hiring conversations: Bring job information, applications, or simple materials related to your openings. Large displays or promotional giveaways are not necessary.
Be ready to discuss:
The role and responsibilities
Starting wages
Training provided
Advancement opportunities
Benefits and long-term growth potential
-
These hiring events are designed to create more meaningful conversations between employers and qualified candidates.
Conversation-style setup: Instead of a large expo environment, tables are arranged to support brief, focused conversations between employers and graduating seniors.
Candidates prepared ahead of time: Graduates will arrive resume-ready and will have reviewed participating companies and available roles before the event.
Clear next steps for hiring: Employers can easily identify candidates they want to follow up with through a simple ticket system.
Targeted candidate pools: Some events are industry-based hiring summits, bringing together graduates preparing to enter related career fields.
