Mayor Greg Fischer announced today that Louisville has been awarded additional federal funding to increase efforts to help break the cycle of crime and violence among young adults ages 18-24, by connecting them to training, jobs and education.
Last Friday, the Kentucky Youth Career Center held its annual GED graduation ceremony and celebration at Atherton High School.
“Giving these young people a second chance is not only the right thing to do, it’s good for our economy and a key part of our strategy for creating safer neighborhoods,” Mayor Greg Fischer said.
