KentuckianaWorks celebrates opening of new Goodwill South Louisville Opportunity Campus

Devone Holt, VP of External Affairs for Goodwill Industries of Kentucky, was the event’s emcee.

Earlier today, staff of KentuckianaWorks and its Power of Work program joined a variety of partners to celebrate the opening of Goodwill Industries of Kentucky’s brand new South Louisville Opportunity Center, located at 6201 Preston Highway.

Goodwill’s South Louisville Opportunity Center is designed for area residents who experience barriers to employment and self-sufficiency, including addictions, justice-involved backgrounds, education deficiencies, limited workforce histories, childcare challenges, transportation, homelessness and mental or physical disabilities. The Center will serve as a one-stop-shop for those individuals – with services, programs, classes and community partner presentations on weekdays from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Angella Wilson, Sr. Program Director at KentuckianaWorks, speaking at the event.

The center is one of the new homes for the Power of Work, a program overseen by KentuckianaWorks that connects SNAP and TANF recipients with educational, training, and career opportunities.
