The Louisville area has a demand for construction workers as new buildings, roads, houses, and other structures are needed to keep pace with the region’s growth. Construction jobs are the Louisville region’s highest paid occupation group where the majority of jobs do not require a college degree.[1] With one in five of the region’s construction workers age 55 and older, there is a growing need for younger workers to enter the construction field as older workers retire.[2]
