Photo Gallery
Photos on this page are 12 of the 15 graduates of the KentuckianaWorks Welding Pre-Apprenticeship Training Program. Members of this first graduating class began the program in January 2011 and graduated in late April, after completing the 16-week course. Each student was required to attend 640 hours of training. Many stayed beyond their eight-hour days (five days a week) to perfect their welding skills and master the knowledge to complete certifications that would make them more employable. All 15 graduates were accepted into the metal trades apprenticeship program of the Plumbers and Pipefitters Local 502 Union in Louisville at the completion of the coursework.
